Agents: Andrew Lownie

Andrew Lownie was educated at the Universities of Cambridge and Edinburgh and has been a bookseller, journalist and publisher. He became a director of John Farquhatson/Curtis Brown in 1986 and in 1988 set up his own literary agency. The founder of The Biographers Club and a former literary agent to PEN, he is the author of several books including a biography of John Buchan and literary guide to Edinburgh.
