In response to your new post I would suggest that your friend read some of the very high quality, not to mention, freely accessible writing on the site using the online BookStreamer. Books such as Last Street by Michael McGlade, Deluge... by Harry Siversten (nobody gets to call Harry's writing cheap and tacky!), Alan Baker's excellent The Martian Ambassador, Bryony Allen's very interesting novella OTOLI, Blood & Rain by Tom-Paul Smith or Umm and Ah and the Problem with Chlorine by Keira Dickinson, my personal favourite, to name but six of a whole long list of very well written books that could easily be proudly sat on the shelves of any mainstream bookshop. For me, CN is about the writing, Colin, not the logo. Substance over hype. If you want to change the existing blurb on the header of the website address I would be inclined to emphasize the notion of community as that is what we are - a community of writers, readers and publishers looking to promote and enjoy the written word.
