About me

I’m a writer of both fiction and nonfiction. I’ve been writing several articles about various topics around religion and energy healing, and am also working on a scifi novel. Excerpts from these are on my blog.
I have been involved in organising green gatherings and working at other festivals for more than ten years. I am also trained to practice reiki and ear acupuncture.

As a scientist, I aim to search for the answers to how things work.
As a comedy writer, I tend to take the piss out of people who talk rubbish.

My first book, “Yoghurt Weaving in a Nutshell” rolls all this into one fantastic whole. Enjoy!

When I have time [an extremely rare commodity lately, in fact I don't believe it exists outside of a mathematical explanation] I shall read this in full...about time I read something that wasn't a serious study for a change. You buy mine and I shall buy yours! A bit unbalanced though, mine is a relatively heavyweight serious study while yours tickles my sense of humour! Good job we are all different aint it?! Now back to working on the house...ouch... I am not getting sufficient time for guitar picking either...lets say H is not going through a good patch! Cheers Harry (more)

When stu...Hi John You have hit the nail on the head. People do not like numbers and avoid them. When studying at university a decade ago[not a mature but an antique student!history and religion] I ventured a question regarding the meaning of the numbers relating to the Indian 'yugas' in the Mahabharata. I was told by the head of department...,Oh they are only numbers and do not mean anything'...by a Phd in philosophy no less...I have taken pleasure in proving such nonsensical statements to be just that, nonsense. The numnbers were all inserted for a purpose...what about the infamous 666? It is NOT the number of the beast by the way, read the verses in The King James version and the punctuation clearly makes this plain...the number of the beast is 36! Count all the numbers 1+2+3 etc up to 666 and the last value to add is 36. All is explained in my work. Much has been hidden by numbers and astronomy but would have been readily understood when the works were written, at least by the sages of the day. Astronomical events are hidden in tales where the characters are the lights in the sky...see Homers Secret Iliad by Florence and Kenneth Wood published by John Murray 1999. A good interpretation of the way people think and why they fail to 'think outside the box'is in the 'meme' description in Richard Dawkins book The Selfish Gene and the concept is greatly expanded by Susan Blackmore in The Meme Machine. This explains much regarding the copying and replication of ideas and I reckon everyone should read it. The 1056 value you see at Stonehenge is ancient, in fact the early British foot was 1.056 of the basic familiar version but stems from a very long time ago in India or perhaps even South Malaysia, in any case long prior to dynastic Egypt. As you see this is a long and involved subject area but when understood is so very enlightening...and yes the hippies and co are a pain in proverbial...the silly sods were getting published a few years ago and the market was flooded with crap hence it fell off, the public got fed up and my agent failed to sell my work simply because of this. However, we had one editor from Penguin who having read the book about the Deluge and Atlantis realised that indeed, [now his words] (more)

There is a lot of detail about metrology and such which I may struggle to get through properly, but I'm more interested in the links with Atlantis. I'm fascinated by ancient buildings, and bored of hippies telling me hippy explanations for them...it's good to see some proper rational study on the subject. (more)

As you can see, one doesn't have to write comedy to find people to take the rise out of, they pop up all over the place! sorry about the elliptical circles...Anna hopes to have this problem sorted shortly, hope so, my work is quite highly illustrated. Thanks for the interest Harry (more)
